Denise and Nik are on their way to Kathmandu.
With 13 hours of flight time, they'll get some sleep, and meditate on being in the moment, wheels down on the other side of the world.
What a time, maybe the best time, among the chaos ringing in our ears, to go for a hike!
At 19,000 feet above the earth, to be that much closer to the moon and stars, while both feet are on the ground, is something most of us will never get to experience.
(Brief Back Data) Denise has entered her 30th year as an executive in banking and Nik is about to be a 1L student at Brooklyn Law. Both need this trip for a spirit renewal, so when home, they can also be at base camp, and be grounded to it, on every hike they take throughout their daily life.
This trip will allow them to call and reflect, on this experience and be committed and confident, in everything they do going forward.
So new beginnings and earned tenure abound. Both worked hard for the new discoveries they are about to experience. First, about the beauty that surrounds them, then a culture and a people that will present stuff only read about or seen in documentaries. The bonds of smallness, living among the giants of nature, in the one world we all share. is what they will take with them and also leave behind.
Denise and Nik will then ultimately, discover something about themselves. When you think about it...that says it all.
Let's see what comes out on the other side, for both of these ladies, my gals...Den and Nik.
